There are many quotes that are especially meaningful to me. I have chosen a couple to share with you. These quotes represent the importance of believing in yourself, as well as the importance of the adults in a child's life.
"Every student can learn just not on the same day, or in the same way."

"If you believe in yourself anything is possible."

"To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world."
Dr. Seuss
"The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination."
Albert Einstein
Krystal from your posts I can see that you have a beautiful loving heart for children. I love the Albert Einstein quote you chose. I get sad when I walk into a classroom and the children are not interacting in a positive way and using electronics instead of their imaginations. I think that first you must create an environment of love and mutual respect. (classroom family) and then children will teach themselves through imagination! I love to set up provocations that require higher level thinking skills and watching their neurons fire as they take it and run with it. Very good posts, thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI particularly love the Dr. Seuss quote (who doesn't love a Dr. Suess quote?). We never know what we mean as educators and providers to a child, a parent a colleague, etc. I can think of several families I had the opportunity to work with thinking that I was not being very effective. Only to hear back years later about how one comment or action made a huge difference in their lives. You obviously have a giving heart and lots of energy with so much on your plate. You are an excellent example for your daughters and your students.
